Doychin Vasilev was a member of the first Bulgarian Himalayan expedition in 1981 and of the expedition for climbing Everest in 1984, when Hristo Prodanov died after conquering the mount. He is opposed to the unconsidered, emotional and egotistical climbing. His personal creed seems to be guaranteed by instinct and hence – easy to accomplish. Both chapters should take place within the trip “on the way there and back” and there should be a continuation. His sports biography proves that – if the conditions are hard and they put the final goal deadly away, a decision to go back needs to be taken. He also wants to show the impossible beauty he has seen there. He is a photographer and documentary filmmaker and he brings back photos from every expedition.
